An Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) is an air filtration device that removes particulate matter from flue gases using the force of an induced electrostatic charge. As dust-laden gas flows through the ESP, particles become electrically charged and are attracted to oppositely charged collecting electrodes, where they are trapped and then periodically removed.
